Worldwide coverage

Applications within the GSM range, but also where there is no GSM or WiFi coverage such as in the vast wilderness of Australia, in remote areas such as Kazakhstan, at the North and South Poles and on the endless vast seas and oceans, it is a challenge to make a data or voice connection with the rest of the world. How do you know where your container is in Kazakhstan, what are the measurements of the weather station on an ice floe at the North Pole, whether there is a 'Man-overboard situation' in the middle of the Pacific and how to 'call' the crew of a helicopter in Siberia?

Defence project: Residential barracks and storage containers

A beautiful and important project for the well-being of military personnel on mission. For the residential barracks we are developing the HUMS - Health and Usage Monitoring system. Information about temperature, humidity, equipment status etc. is transmitted together with the location. For this we applied our basic module - the Leap Track-and-Trace System LTTS Core Module - and placed it all in a robust housing. This makes it resistant to mechanical and climatic influences.

For storage containers, the location and movements are important. Here, too, we have created a system based on the Core Module and offer it alongside this project via our sister company GTTS and also via the platform provider BlackPoint.

We managed this project through Marshall who were looking for Iridium solutions. We are the only developer in the Netherlands, but did not speak the language of Defence. That is why we sought cooperation and found a good partner in Add-Mission B.V. from Hoogeveen. In the end, GSM proved to be sufficient and we were able to use our Core Module. This GSM core based on LTE-M and GPS/Glonass gives us an advantage over the speed of development for specific applications such as the T&T HUMS.

Leap Track & Trace System (LTTS)

Stable, customer-specific, short time-to-market, low-cost production. That is what we had in mind for our customers with track & trace applications using the latest GSM techniques (NB-IoT and LTE-M). The result is a modular system in which all our knowledge and experience is already present and extensively tested and therefore stable. Antenna design, modem, electronics, embedded software and housing belong together and can quickly be made specific for your application. You can quickly enter your market in your sector, even when 2G is deployed in the future. We offer production, airtime and cloud service through our sister company GTTS, which focuses on production and partnership.
Example Automotive market. On the pictures above we show a ruggedized automotive version made with crank protection and load dump protection, input voltage of 8-36V and various inputs and outputs. Coming in is a 'molded in version' with a battery that will last for 3 years.
We are happy to make your own application based on our LTTS (core) module.

Global Alerting Platform

Leap Development uses this software platform to visualize track-and-trace data, such as movements of floating ice at the North Pole to man-over-board alerts. We develop GSM-Hiber and iridium products that can be linked to this platform.
Our relationship with Jan is fundamental. Leap Development can turn our innovations into products.

Tracking floating ice from the North Pole

Especially the integrated approach of the electronics and the HF part in the housing was the success.
A device that works.

Tracker for helicopters and small planes

In collaboration with International Aero Navigation Systems Group, JSC (IANS), we have designed and developed an Iridium communication and track and trace device for use in helicopters and small aircraft. Necessary for the helicopter crew in Siberia. The IANS' "PUMA-S" transmits every set time interval its GNSS position and status to the ground, flight control centre. The status transmitted consists of the status of the device combined with the status of the helicopter or aircraft in which the PUMA-S is mounted.
